I am primarily a self-taught
artist, having been drawing since childhood. I
have been doing pencil, pen and ink, and charcoal drawings of dogs and
other
animals for a number of years. For quite a while I wanted to expand my
use of
mediums so that I could better illustrate both the animals I portray and
their
environment.
To this end, in September of 2001, I participated in an
artist's
workshop in Jackson Hole, Wyoming featuring master watercolorists Joe
Garcia and
Adele Earnshaw and oil painter Greg Beecham, all well known wildlife
artists.
This gave me an excellent introduction into the use of these mediums. I
continue to improve my painting techniques as well as taking other
workshops.
My work is now in private collections both nationally and
internationally. Some
of my work is shown on the linked pages below. Original works with
prices are
framed. If you are interested in any of these works or in commissioning
a
painting. I believe that art is to be enjoyed and I hope
that
you enjoy the work below.
Signature member of Artists for
Conservation,
and member of the San Diego Watercolor Society.
