About the Member--Joe Szelenyi

Joe Szelenyi, a Hungarian immigrant, is a novice carver. Years ago when he broke his leg, he started whittling on an old fence post.

In February, few years ago, Joe went to the Pacific Southwest Wildlife Arts show here in San Diego. After connecting with the group, his "whittling" has progressed, and he has won many ribbons with his decoys, fish, etc. He credits the P.S.W.A. members with encouraging and guiding his efforts
