FLAT ARTISTS: 2-Dimensional Artists' Booths 2010 The California Open Wildlife Festival began as a competition for wood carvers. Over the years, the Festival grew to include 2-dimensional wildlife artists and photographers. Humorously referred to as "flat-artists," these artists bring a new dimension to the Festival, making the California Open one of most unique Wildlife events in the U.S.
